Main color – white

FREE PAttern
ABBREVIATIONS:
ch – chain
mc – magic circle
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase
dec – decrease

Written Pattern:
Note: As the hat and the head are worked as a continuous spiral – a removable stitch marker to mark the “beginning of the round” is recommended
HEAD:
Round 0: mc
Round 1: sc 6 [total 6]
Round 2: inc 6 [total 12]
Round 3: (inc, sc) x6 [total 18]
Round 4: (inc, sc 2 ) x6 [total 24]
Round 5: (inc, sc 3 ) x6 [total 30]
Round 6-10: sc 30 [total 30]
If you are planning to use safety eyes please place them before decreasing. Decreased part is the top of the head in my photo so I inserted them between rounds 8 and 9.
Round 11: (dec, sc 3) x6 [total 24]
Round 12: (dec, sc 2) x6 [total 18]
Round 13: (dec, sc) x6 [total 12]
Stuff the head before the final decrease.
Round 14: dec 6 [total 6]
HAT
Round 0: mc
Round 1: sc 6 [total 6]
Round 2: inc 6 [total 12]
Round 3: (inc, sc) x6 [total 18]
Round 4: sc blo 18 [total 18]
Round 5 – 7: sc 18 [total 18]
Round 8: inc x18 [total 36]
Round 9*: sc 36 [total 36]
Add round 9 if you want to have a wider hat brim.
Sew the hat to the body. I recommend to sew it tilted to one side, as in the photo.
NOSE:
Row 1: ch 4, turn
Row 2: skip 1 ch, sl st in each ch [3 sl st]
Attach the nose to the head. If you want to change the lenght of the nose start with a different number of chains.
HANGER: Make the hanger from the ribbon or the yarn of your choice and attach it at the top of the Snowman!
