Written Pattern:

Rings:

First Ring: Chain 23, turn, and slip stitch into the back bump of each chain. Cut the yarn and secure the ends.

For the remaining rings, connect them to the previous ring before closing them. Refer to the photo on the right for guidance.

SEWING:

Sew the rings to the top of the square. If you don’t enjoy sewing, you can attach the rings while crocheting the square.

Round 0: mc

Round 1: sc, ch (as first dc), dc x9, sl st blo [total 10]

Round 2: sc, ch (as first dc), dc in the same stitch, inc x 9, sl st blo [total 20]

Round 3: sc, ch (as first dc), dc in the same stitch, [dc 1, inc] x 9, dc 1, sl st blo [total 30]

Round 4:  sc, ch (as first dc), dc in the same stitch, [dc 2, inc] x 9, dc 2, sl st blo [total 40]

Round 5: sc, ch (as first dc), [hdc 2, sc, hdc 2, dc 2, ch 3, tc, ch 3, dc 2] x 3, hdc 2, sc, hdc 2, dc 2, ch 3, tc, ch 3, dc, sl st blo [total 40 (chains not included)]
