Pattern details
Required materials:
- this tutorial
- yarn / cord
- crochet hook
- scissors
Estimated time: 60 minutes
Difficulty: 2/5
Terminology: US
Colors, Yarn and Hook Suggestions:
My patterns are designed to be compatible with any yarn and hook size. Please consider the differences in size and structure when choosing different materials. Below are the details of the yarn and hook I used and about the final item.
Colors:
Main color – Blue
Yarn & Hook:
Material: YarnArt Jeans
Hook: 2mm
FREE PAttern
ABBREVIATIONS:
ch – chain
mc – magic circle
sl st – slip stitch
hdc – half double crochet
flo – front loop only
tlo – third loop only
sc – single crochet
Written Pattern:
Row 0: ch 11, turn
Row 1: hdc 10, ch, turn [total 10]
Row 2: hdc tlo 10, ch, turn [total 10]
Row 3: hdc flo 10, ch, turn [total 10]
Repeat rounds 2 and 3 until you reach a square (for me it was 6 rows). One side of the square should remain plain (back), that’s why row 2 has hdc tlo and row 3 has hdc flo.
Border: Turn your work 90 deg, sl st around the square – two sl st in each side of hdc, one sl st in each top of the stitch.
Cut the yarn, weave the ends in!
Ribbon: ch 40
Cut the yarn, make a bow and sew it to the gift!
HANGER: Make the hanger from the ribbon or the yarn of your choice and attach it at the top of the gift!
